The Beautiful Beaches Of Phuket
Phuket island is Thailand’s largest and most beautiful, making it one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world. Phuket is truly a tropical paradise out of the picture books, you will find coconut palms swaying in the fresh sea breeze, experience the intoxicating fragrance of exotic blossoms, walk along pristine white sand beaches, and gaze at sparkling crystal clear waters.
Phuket’s lush interior is full of natural beauty for hikers to explore but the real star of the island’s many attractions is the surrounding sea and the hundreds of scenic reefs, rocks, and islands that dot its turquoise waters. The best way to experience the Andaman Sea’s maritime delights is to take a private boat tour so you can sit back, relax, and behold the region’s many wonders as you cruise by in comfort and style!
The first thing you will view as you make your way around Phuket are its many gorgeous beaches. The following are just a few of the favourites that you can stop and take a break on, or scope out for a later visit! So, leave your resort behind for a day and hit the high seas!
Kata Yai Beach – The long stretch of pure white sands beside warm, turquoise waters ensures this beach is popular for water sports. The word Yai means “Big” and the beach lives up to its name with plenty of sandy real estate to stretch out on so you can work on your tan, or spread a blanket for a picnic lunch in the shade beneath your beach umbrella. This is the perfect place to lay back, relax, and watch the world sail by! If you want to dive into that inviting sea, check out Boo, or “Crab” Island at the north end of Kata Yai Beach, it’s a favourite snorkelling destination, with a coral reef swarming with multicoloured fish and incredible sea creatures, including its namesake crabs! Sea turtles are sighted there often, so keep your eyes peeled!
Kata Noi Beach – The word Noi means “Small” in Thai, but there’s plenty of big fun to be had on this sensational beach, a terrific place to relax and soak up some of that tropical sunlight! Kata Noi Beach runs about 700 meters long making it one of Phuket’s smaller beaches. The peaceful crystal clear water, lush, soft sand, and the vibrant green jungle rising up into the mountainous interior that provides its backdrop will make you think you have stepped into an enchanted long ago time. If snorkelling is your thing then prepare to be rewarded by breathtaking coral growth that is home to brightly hued parrotfish and cute anemone ‘clown’ fish that are sure to charm!
Laem Singh Beach – Another of Phuket’s many snorkelling attractions, on the surface this is a quaint beach lined with supple palm trees and black volcanic rocky outcroppings, lending it an otherworldly beauty. The main attraction is under the water, the beach hosts a number of thriving coral reefs teeming with scintillating reef fish. It’s so amazing you won’t want to get back in the boat!
Be sure to experience viewing the magnificent island of Phuket from the surrounding sea, it will be a cruise to remember!
